THE GREAT TRANSITION is an initiative to accelerate the energy transition. It highlights the opportunities and solutions the transition brings to people around the world. The initiative shares inspiring films, videos, images, facts, and figures on progress made, and actions needed. It provides a platform for dialogue, questions, and discussions, and tools to show support for the transition and its heroes.

Driver for change

CO2 emissions from energy production are the biggest contributor to climate change. Research-based reports show that the transition to a clean energy future is not progressing fast enough to meet the climate goals set by the Paris Agreement. That’s why more decisive action for clean energy is essential.

Time and again, the story of the energy transition has been shown through images and accounts depicting the devastating impacts of climate change. By now, most people around the world recognize that the climate is changing. They understand the urgency to act.
